Information you give us

When you fill out our quote form or Project Planner, we collect what you enter: your name, phone number, email address, town, details about your project, and your answers to the planner questions. Please don't include sensitive information such as payment details, Social Security numbers or health information in these forms.

Information collected automatically

Like nearly every website, our hosting provider automatically records basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you request and the time of your visit. This is used to deliver the site, keep it secure and prevent abuse.

Information stored on your own device

The site saves a few small settings in your browser's local storage, such as whether you prefer light or dark mode and your high score in our hidden game. These stay on your device, are never sent to us, and you can clear them at any time in your browser settings.

Cookies and analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how people find and use the site, such as which pages are visited, roughly where visitors are located (city or region), what kind of device they use, and whether a quote form was sent. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technology to collect this information, and Google processes it on our behalf. We use these reports only to improve the site. We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels, and we do not use Google Analytics to identify you personally.

• To keep records of our work and meet legal, tax and insurance obligations

We will not add you to a marketing list or send you promotional messages unless you ask us to.

How we share your information

We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we never will. We only share it with:

• Service providers who help us run our business and this site, such as our web host (Netlify, which receives and stores form submissions), our email provider (Google Workspace), our analytics provider (Google Analytics) and our scheduling and invoicing software. They may only use your information to provide services to us.
• Font provider: the site loads its typefaces from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google's servers and shares your IP address with Google.
• Legal reasons: if required by law, or to protect our rights, property or safety, or that of others.

How long we keep it

We keep project inquiries and customer records for as long as needed to serve you and to meet our legal, tax and warranty obligations. You can ask us to delete your information at any time (see below).

How we protect it

The site is served over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, and access to submissions is limited to our team. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to tell you what information we have about you, correct it, or delete it. Just call, text or email us using the contact details below. We'll respond within a reasonable time. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under your state's privacy laws, and we will honor them.

Children

This site is meant for homeowners and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Project photos

Photos on this site show our own work. We identify projects only by town, never by a customer's name or street address.

Links to other sites

The site may link to other websites, such as Google reviews. We aren't responsible for the privacy practices of those sites.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last changed.
